It Unfolds Itself!

The title sounds like an invention pitch you would hear on the hit show Shark Tank. But the words “it unfolds itself” are something MUCH more important than ANY invention pitch! I am referring to life and the “unfolding” is something life does naturally. There are MANY of you who believe in the law of attraction, so I need you to bear with me.

I do believe we are in control of our lives (for the most part). For the portion we have ZERO control over combined with our own actions determines the results we get in life. Do not think too deep with this one here.

I have been setting goals and getting results my entire life. If there is ONE thing I can say about setting goals and achieving them, is that “HOW” I got to my result almost ALWAYS takes routes unplanned. No matter how much I articulate and calculate a plan, the attainment of the goal goes in directions I could never predict.

Am I saying plans are useless? Absolutely NOT! They are JUST a tool. Plans should only be in place for guidance. Plans have to be flexible because there WILL be life events that will ultimately disrupt your plans. This is where life “unfolds itself”.

I can remember random goals I set and was so enthusiastic about achieving them, it felt like I was FORCING things to happen. In some cases, I really was FORCING things to happen, but something interesting would ALWAYS happen. Life would throw me curve balls that I could NEVER account for. They would be so random, it would throw me off!

The point is, we MUST make plans and do EVERYTHING we can do, but understand that life will unfold itself. It’s for the BETTER! Believe me! Every time something “ruined” my plans, in the end it ended up being a MASSIVE BLESSING! God knows what he is doing, so don’t fret over “spoiled” plans…His plans are WAYYYYYY better than ours!

For me, The Motivation Files project took turns I NEVER saw coming. In the end, they all worked out for the greater good! We have to remember to be flexible and adjust our plans when necessary. Simply rollllllll with the punches, life is easier that way!

I hope this helps!

To Your MASSIVE SUCCESS,

Jimmylee

Trust Your Own Judment

I just LOVE this quote! We have to really being to believe in ourselves and our abilities.

“Learn to trust your own judgment, learn inner independence, learn to trust that time will sort good from bad – including your own bad.”

Doris Lessing

REPORTED MISSING: Life

If we are here on earth temporarily, what’s the rush? Are we pausing at crucial moments to experience life’s offerings? Or are we flying through life with a sense of urgency, racing against the clock and craving for the weekend to show its face again.

My wife and I are really cherishing every stage of our son’s life. He’s our only child and has brought tremendous joy to our lives. It’s extremely fun and rewarding to see him develop through each phase. My son is about ready to begin the stage of crawling…or scooting, depending on what he wants his path to be. Whatever he chooses to do, we are here waiting with open arms and camera’s ready. He is our constant reminder to celebrate life; I mean a red “solo” cup can entertain him for quite some time. It’s amazing what small things he finds entertaining. I can’t stop smiling thinking about him.

I can go on for days talking about my son, so I will…just kidding. But in all seriousness, are you cherishing the special moments life tosses your way? “Special moments” are up to your definition and will obviously be unique to each individual. The important part here is the “cherishing”. We should really slow down a bit.

We shouldn’t see life just as an accumulation of things, but of experiences; lessons to grow from and improve on. Moments to grab, stare at, and sulk in. Pull the camera’s out and capture the experiences you wish to treasure forever.

Let’s stop the mad rush and begin to embrace EVERY moment with welcoming arms and an open mind. Slow down my friend…stop and experience the experience…

Do Things REALLY Happen For A Reason?

Do Things REALLY Happen For A Reason? I believe so. I think we are all somehow connected and every action we take affects everyone and everything around us. Sometimes we can’t make sense of the situations we find ourselves in, but if we look deeper into them, we may find the answers. Reflection and studying ourselves can help push us along, as well as time. The Law of Attraction is an interesting subject to study and I recommend it to EVERYONE! It can be exciting if you are actually willing to change!

Living The Dream

Image

I’m currently sitting at my brother’s barbershop and I’m admiring the fact that he is living his dream. I can remember him using us as “test dummies” for his new found passion. But he faced a ton of ridicule for wanting to be a “hair dresser”. I recall him shaking his head and stating that he was a “Barber”!

Flash forward 15 plus years and you can walk into Miguel’s Riverside Barbershop in Bristol, PA. He continued with his passion through the difficult times and faced even harder circumstances when opening the doors of his very own business. I’m very proud of my brother for sticking to his dream and following through with some of his “lofty” ideas. His Diligence has paid off!

Being a “dreamer” isn’t always received with welcoming arms, but if your diligent enough in the pursuit of those dreams, people will soon support your vision. If you instill enough belief in yourself, you’ll eventually make it happen. Like my brother, fight through the doubters and the negative self-talk. Keep pushing, keep going for your goals.

Call To Action:

Are you allowing people to talk you out of your dreams? Are you living just an average life and wish you were living out your dreams? Do at least ONE thing everyday that will move you closer to living the life of your dreams. This can be multiple different options.

  • Reach out to that person you’ve been meaning to contact
  • Read that book you’ve been meaning to read
  • Build a vision board
  • Review and set new goals for this year
  • STOP listening to negative people!
  • Switch the negative self-talk with new positive self-talk
  • Check out the YouTube Video that coincides with this post

There are tons of ways you can start your journey of “Living the Dream” and I hope the small humble list I provided is a starting point. These are just a few ideas that have worked in my life and I hope you can make use of them in some way as well.
