The Process

IMG_6029There is something special about “the process” of attaining goals that we must not overlook. It is a very important aspect of life we should reflect on daily. The process reveals so many insights about ourselves and generates information we can build on.

We should ALL have in place little indicators or triggers that remind us to STOP and take in the process. Sometimes we are so busy with life that we tend to slip up the details, rush through the little things and ultimately miss out on critical information.

I am currently putting together THE BEST podcast I possibly can to be released this month. Because I have a certain level of expectancy, “the process” is taking a little longer than expected. However, the process is lending to some interesting lessons I will cherish FOREVER. The great part about “the process” for the release/launch of my podcast is that everyone involved is learning.

We had to take a few steps back and even “start over” some of the recordings because of little details we discovered along the way. I realized that it is indeed okay to start over and re-do certain things to get a more polished product. It’s important to NOT get too caught up in the completion of things MORE than being thorough in your work. Sometimes we get so stressed out over deadlines that we force ourselves to release products/information before its completely developed or thought out.

Prior proper planning is another aspect of “the process” that has made a HUGE difference in the production of my podcast. Coming up with an itinerary and discussing information with the crew before recordings has made a WORLD of a difference; the quality of the podcast has gone through the roof.

The last lesson I learned during “the process” is getting the proper tools from the beginning is crucial. Having professional equipment for the podcast made the team take this project very serious. In turn, the final product is proving to be more professional and has an element of increased value it would not have if it was just “thrown together”.

As I stated before, the beautiful part of “the process” is that everyone involved is learning something. We are growing together and building stronger bonds with one another. Simply stated, the process is invaluable. The cool part about creating and launching my podcast is that there is SO MUCH more to learn and even more exciting experiences to reflect on.

That being said, The Rotated Views podcast will be released at the end of this month. I look forward to sharing MORE exciting news with you in the weeks to come. STAY TUNED!!!

The 6 Inches That Separate EVERYONE

There is a VERY important message that I feel is NEEDED at this moment and I will address it here as best as I can. It is an interesting “concept” that I believe to be a “reality” that can really boost your life into TRUE PURPOSE. It is amazing to me that MOST people either forget or simply DO NOT comprehend their own power and allow life to be lived in the  cesspool of mediocrity.

I want you to stick both arms out in front of your body (zombie position). Bending at the elbows, bring your hands straight back to your head, as if you were about to perform a sit-up. With the tips of your index fingers, tap the side of your head (temple area). If you were to measure the distance between your two index fingers, it would be approximately 6 inches. And it is these 6 inches that determine everything.

Remember, you are always 6 inches away from your goal. Repeat this exercise when you need that little reminder. No matter how BIG your goal, you ca attain it by working it through your mind. We give up on things more because of mental fatigue than anything else. Sure there are a few exceptions, but the overall reason for not achieving your dreams is because you cannot withstand the journey; the hurdles beat you up mentally.

Without trying to oversimplify the subject, just know that the ONLY thing separating the successful from the unsuccessful truly is 6 inches. In fact, it is these 6 measly inches that separate EVERYONE. Take control of your mind and life will unfold itself to your demands. I believe in you and pray you get hold of your brain enough to live the life of your dreams!

It’s Right In Front Of You…TAKE IT! [MUST READ]

This is ALWAYS in front of us! I am not sure whether we are blind to it or distracted by other things, but OPPORTUNITY really never goes away. Of course, there are different levels of how big or small these opportunities are, but that is not to say they aren’t in our face 24/7.

Really the decision is up to us to capitalize on the various opportunities that are presented to us. A small example would be to say hello to a random patron and spark a conversation at the train station. This may turn into absolutely nothing, but on the other hand, it has the potential to be something GREAT!

In that example you see that there was a decision that needed to be made.

1. Keep to yourself and not say anything

2. Extend your hand and say hello

After the decision in your mind is made, ACTION must take place to properly execute the capitalization of an opportunity. You see, we can have ALL the opportunities in the world, but they literally mean nothing if we take no action.

Decisions must lead into actions or they will simply be thoughts.

I hear people talking ALL the time about how “LUCKY” other folks are in life because they had better opportunities. While this may be true in some cases, it shouldn’t be the reason why you don’t capitalize on your own chances. That is a a subtle excuse people use to make themselves feel better. And even if the “some cases” is true, WHO CARES!?! Complaining about it won’t get you anywhere but to the doorstep of frustration!

There is a famous actor/businessman/professional skateboarder named Rob Dyrdek who coined the phrase, “Make Your Own Luck”.

I have to say, that at first I found this phrase to be a little challenging, but after some thought and experiences of my own, I believe there is perfect reason why this is true. I noticed that when I jumped on an opportunity and really worked my tail off, more opportunities (some even bigger) came my way. I believe that it was because how the universe works. The law of attraction, karma, whatever you want to call it, happened.

I was getting rewarded for my efforts. Even though, sometimes all my work didn’t lead to the results i had initially intended, things began to change. I believe things happen for a reason, so our thoughts on HOW life SHOULD pan out really do not matter.

The Big Guy upstairs is in control and that means mysterious things can happen at ANY given moment. That is why I want to challenge you to jump on SOME kind of opportunity today. And is you cannot find one, you are NOT trying hard enough.

Here is some help. Try thinking about FIRST helping someone else (without expecting something in return), I promise you, this will get the ball rolling!

Jump on an opportunity today and see where it takes you! Good “Luck”
